Lead generation for pool builders

Own your leads
instead of renting them.

Shared lead marketplaces sell the same homeowner to you and three competitors, then charge all four of you. A design tool on your own site produces leads nobody else receives — and they arrive already specified.

What a shared lead really costs

Bought pool leads have an obvious price and a hidden one. The obvious price is the per-lead fee. The hidden price is that the homeowner is talking to several builders at once, has been trained to compare on number alone, and often filled in the form on a site that promised a price you cannot match.

You are not selling at that point. You are bidding. And the moment you stop paying, the pipeline stops with it — you built nothing that keeps working.

What an owned lead looks like

It starts on your site

Your domain, your branding, your models. The homeowner never sees a third-party tool or a comparison page.

It arrives specified

Shape, size, finish, steps, decking, options and the estimate — everything you would otherwise ask on a first call.

It keeps working

You paid to build it once. It runs every night, every weekend, without another invoice per inquiry.

There is a second effect that builders notice within a month or two: the tool gives people a reason to stay on the site and a reason to come back. A homeowner who spent eleven minutes designing a pool on your website has already started imagining it in their yard — and they associate that with your name, not with a directory listing.

Where the traffic comes from

A configurator is not a traffic source by itself; it is what turns traffic into requests. It works alongside whatever already brings people to your site:

  • Organic search. A design tool is a genuine reason for people to link to you and for visitors to stay — both of which search engines notice.
  • Paid search. The same ad spend converts harder when the landing page lets people do something instead of filling in a form.
  • Social and referral. “Design your own pool” is a far easier thing to share than “request a quote.”
  • Your existing list. One email to past inquiries who never converted often pays for the build.

Questions builders ask

How many leads will this bring in?

We cannot honestly tell you, and be careful with anyone who does. It depends entirely on how much traffic your site already gets and what you sell. What a configurator reliably changes is the quality and completeness of the requests you already receive — that part is within our control, the volume is not.

Do I have to stop buying leads?

No, and most builders do not stop straight away. The sensible order is to build the owned channel first, watch what it produces over a season, and then decide what to cut.

Who owns the data?

You do. The requests, the customer details and the configurations are yours. If you ever leave, the data leaves with you.

Can I use it for pool houses and cabanas too?

Yes. The same system runs a timber pool house designer and a poolside cabana designer. Builders who sell both find the second product often generates requests from customers who came for the first.
